Palawan Named 'World's Best Island' Again

Palawan has been named as the best island on the planet  by global magazine Travel and Leisure.
Truly blessed with mother nature's beauty, the Philippine islands of Cebu and Boracay have made it to the list. Boracay positioned second, while Cebu positioned 6th.
The island initially got pined for the top spot in the rundown in 2013 and "it's little shock that the island is back at the top," according to Travel and Leisure on its official website.
"Guests are welcomed with mountains ascending out of outlandishly turquoise waters, where wrecks and reefs make for prime scuba jumping and snorkeling," as described by Travel Magazine.
It also quoted a voter as saying that "Palawan is every beach lover's dream destination" and a "wonderful and magical place."
The otherr islands also included in the list are:
  • Ischia, Italy (Rank 3)
  • Waiheke Island, New Zealand (Rank 4)
  • Santorini, Greece (Rank 5)
  • Maui, Hawaii (Rank 7)
  • Hilton Head, South Carolina (Rank 8)
