A fireworks shop in Bocaue, Bulacan exploded inflicting massive damage to surrounding properties with one confirmed fatality as of press time.
Early Wednesday October 12, 2016, residents of Biñang street heard huge explosions in their neighborhood. Shockwaves sent huge debris and overturned parked trucks and burned nearby public utility vehicles. Rescue teams and firefighters was soon dispatched but is yet to issue a final report of the actual number casualties and damages to properties. Bocaue, Bulacan is home to manufacturer of fireworks, both deemed legal and illegal and stores and shops of such products are stands in rows at the side of busy roads and near homes.
